Catpurrccino is a Cat Café brand identity that I chose to expand on. I have continuously grown this identity as the center of my business and design projects over the last few years, adding to and improving the brand in any field that I gain knowledge in, allowing me to work with motion graphics to showcase my preferred skill in development for future projects.
PROJECT GOAL
The goal of this project is to create three 10–15 second motion graphics animations for the Catpurrccino Brand using Adobe After Effects, render them, and upload them to YouTube as MP4 files. The Three video promotions will consist of a Logo Reveal, App Promotion and a general advertisement of the Café experience. tailored for fast paced media platforms such as Tik Tok or Instagram Reels.
CREATIVE PROCESS
I began by revisiting my previous Catpurrccino projects’ brand development to get a sense of what I wanted to keep or change about the brand before narrowing down my final brand color palette and aesthetic by creating a mood board. I also took my time to re sketch and make a new brands logo as the previous one wasn’t to my liking anymore as I wanted to reflect a cleaner and simplified look to the brand.
After Choosing my final brand aesthetic and logo, I proceeded to do some competitive analysis between a few other café brands to see how they go about presenting their advertisements and brand animations to get a few ideas on composing scenes for my story boards.
After completing my rough story board, I proceeded to make animation assets in Illustrator (1920 x 1080 frames) and draw the frames for the “cat pouncing” animation in Ibis Paint X.
